Biological dehumanization and its correlates

Biological dehumanization (or biologization) is the perception of others as contagious entities rather than humans. This line of research explores its antecedents and consequences through correlational and experimental studies.

Workplace dehumanization

Dehumanization is the denial of others' humanness. By integrating sociopsychological and organizational constructs, the current project examines the correlates of this phenomenon among certain occupational groups in the Italian context.

Gender stereotypes and their manifestations

Gender stereotypes shape perceptions, expectations, and behaviors from an early age, influencing identities and interactions. This line of research examines gender stereotypes across various domains, such as television advertising and sports.

Economic inequality and gender-based violence

Negative outcomes of income inequality extend beyond economic disparities, including lower well-being and higher mortality rates. This project explores whether inequality is also linked to higher tolerance of gender-based violence among women.

Strategies for household food waste reduction

Food waste is a pervasive issue with serious impacts. This project explores some behavioral interventions aimed at reducing food waste at the household level, focusing on how small changes in daily habits can lead to substantial reductions in waste.
